Tammy Trent

Tammy started dating a boy at her youth group, Trent Lenderinkat, at age 16. After 7 1/2 years of dating they were finally married. They went into full time into ministry in 1995. Music was one of her most loved outlets of ministry. Her self titled debut album was released in 1996. That was followed the next year by You Have My Heart. Then, in 2000 she released an album called Set You Free. However, her upbeat sound was soon overshadowed by a devastating event in her life.

After 11 years of marriage she and her husband decided to go on a mission trip in Jamaica. Before beginning the mission they went on a short vacation. It was there, while scuba diving that Tammy's husband Trent died. The next day, September 11, 2001 his body was recovered. Tammy Trent was stuck there 10 days before she could get a flight back home.

After a year of mourning, Tammy Trent felt ready to share her story. She began speaking at the Women of Faith conferences. Her testimony was so powerful that she was asked to write a book. Learning To Breathe Again: Choosing Life and Finding Hope After A Shattering Loss, was published in 2004. In 2005 she began writing music again. The result was an album called I See Beautiful released on her own independent label September Morning Records. Her latest album, Stronger, is a departure from her past high energy dance albums. She says it's more of a reflection of her life.
