Beaverlodge RCMP Investigate Home Invasion

BEAVERLODGE RCMP INVESTIGATE HOME INVASION

Beaverlodge, Alberta – One male has been hospitalized after being shot during a violent home invasion on Saturday morning.

On June 9, 2018 just after midnight Beaverlodge RCMP responded to a shots fired complaint at a residence on the Horse Lake First Nation. On arrival it was determined the adult male victim had already been transported to an area hospital with a gunshot wound.

Investigation determined that three unknown masked suspects entered the residence where the assault occurred and fled the scene. The victim is being treated for his injuries and is expected to survive.

Grande Prairie Forensic Identification Section and Grande Prairie GIS have been engaged in this investigation providing assistance to investigators from Beaverlodge Detachment.

RCMP advise this was a targeted attack and are seeking the public’s assistance to identify those responsible.
