Late last year, Council awarded Canadian Ramp Company from Oakville, Ontario, a contract to design and construct an asphalt pump track in Kin Park. As we begin the design phase of this project, Canadian Ramp Company and the City of Fort St. John invite all potential users to complete a five-minute survey to provide their input into the design.

Pump tracks consist of a looped track with hills, bumps, and banked turns, ideal for various wheeled sports, such as bikes, scooters, skateboards, and wheelchairs. The idea is for riders to use their body movements (pumping) to gain momentum and navigate the track without pedaling or pushing off the ground.

The new pump track will be constructed in the eastern portion of Kin Park as part of the continued upgrades this year. Additional upgrades this year include a new playground, paved parking lot, washroom facilities, and more.
