To better understand the recreation needs of regional residents, the Grande Prairie Regional Recreation Committee is undertaking a community survey.

The survey is being used to gauge residents’ preferences, satisfaction, and usage of current and future recreation services. The responses will enable the Committee to identify changes since the initial survey that was completed in 2015, and to determine recreation trends in the region.

Postcards will be sent in the mail to a random selection of regional households with an invitation to participate in the survey in mid-February. Each postcard will include a web address and unique code to log into the survey. The Committee encourages each household that receives a postcard to complete the survey, as community feedback is extremely important to move our regional recreation initiatives forward.

This survey is the first stage of public engagement and details on the second stage will be announced soon.
