Update: Grande Prairie RCMP have been notified that the wheelchair has been returned to its owner.  RCMP would like to thank the media and the public for their assistance.

 

On Jan. 29, 2022 at 6:20 p.m., the Grande Prairie RCMP received a report that a wheelchair had been stolen from a parking lot located near 123 Avenue and 97A Street in the Scenic Ridge residential area of Grande Prairie, Alta., sometime between 3:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. on Jan. 29, 2022.

The manual wheelchair is described as blue with a black finger guard and a custom painting of a desert scene, with mountains and wolf depicted on the wheels of the wheelchair.

The Grande Prairie RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying who may be responsible for this theft. Anyone who may have information is asked to contact Grande Prairie RCMP at 780-930-5700 or your local police.
