Thanks to NuVista Energy Ltd., all 10 classrooms at Wembley Elementary School will receive new interactive televisions. NuVista Energy Ltd. recently contacted the school asking if there were any projects or needs they could assist with, and after hearing that classes were using outdated technology, decided to donate $12,576.45 to replace the old equipment.

Principal Robyn Lieverse says the school is thrilled to be receiving the rest of the money needed to purchase new equipment and is extremely grateful to NuVista Energy Ltd. for its very generous donation. “The new interactive televisions allow for increased student engagement and collaboration, while improving learning outcomes. They not only benefit kinaesthetic learners who need to move, and learn by “doing things”, but all students who learn in a variety of ways. Our students and staff can’t wait for the new interactive TVs!”

Wembley Elementary School had been working toward replacing the old technology for a number of years. Between NuVista Energy Ltd.’s donation and money from the Division, the school’s dream has become a reality.
