Kate Potter has been acclaimed as the Mayor of the Town of Sexsmith.

No other nomination papers were filed for the Mayoral position before the close of nomination on Monday of last week.

She has served as councillor for the town starting in 2017 and was then elected as Mayor in a bielection in 2018 and has served as Mayor since that time.

A municipal election will be held October 18th with an opportunity for advance voting October 16th from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Sexsmith Community Centre for Councillor positions.

There are 6 available positions for Councillors. There were 7 sets of nomination papers accepted for Councillor positions with 6 incumbents and 1 new nomination.

Voting will also be available at the same venue for the Referendum, Senate and School Board Trustee.
