Heavy snowfall with total amounts of 10 to 15 cm is expected for areas of the Peace Country.

For the Grande Prairie area, snow will begin early Tuesday morning and taper off Tuesday night. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. 

Snowfall with total amounts of 10 to 15 cm is also expected for B.C. South Peace River southern sections including Monkman, Wapiti Lake, and Kakwa Provincial Park, Tumbler Ridge.

 

Snow will likely begin early Tuesday morning into the evening. The higher amount of 10 to 15 cm of snow will happen mostly over the southern section. As for Tumbler Ridge, it will likely to get 5 to 10 cm of snow. Snow will taper off through the overnight hours to Wednesday.

Public Safety Canada encourages everyone to make an emergency plan and get an emergency kit with drinking water, food, medicine, a first-aid kit and a flashlight. For information on emergency plans and kits go to getprepared.gc.ca. Snowfall warnings are issued when significant snowfall is expected.
