Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the Grande Prairie area:

10 cm of snow is expected tonight and Saturday morning.

Snow is expected to develop in Grande Prairie this evening and in Grande Cache overnight.

Snow will end Saturday morning in Grande Prairie and by Saturday evening in Grande Cache.

Environment Canada has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Dawson Creek and Fort St John:

Significant snowfall tonight through Sunday morning. Occasional local blowing snow for Pine Pass.

A series of low-pressure systems crossing northern B.C. will produce a total of 20 to 30 cm of snow by Sunday morning. The hardest hit areas will be communities along Highway 97, Pine Pass, parts of the B.C. Peace River and parts of the McGregor region.

Dawson Creek and Hudson's Hope may see a break in the snow on Saturday between storms but more snow will arrive Saturday night.

Snow will change to rain Sunday afternoon and end Sunday night.

Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations.

Motorists are being reminded to drive to the road conditions.
